Hit rock bottom - begged me
for treatment
well she is homeless as of tomorrow, spent 3
days in jail, admitted to slamming and her life at 20 is out of
control-has no where beside drug houses to go to as of
tomorrow-planning on flying her home to me today -until court
date- begged me for treatment, said she was sorry and
loved me and just wants help- any heads up for me mom?? she has
been clean 8 days today - keeping in mind she begged for treatment
after she was out of jail. |

My first question to myself would be -- does
she truly want treatment, or does she want mom to rescue her and
give her a place to have a roof and meals until court? |

hi laura, she did not ask me to
fly home-i figured she either flies home or goes to her drug
houses?? she truly will be homeless tomorrow? any suggestions
for me I am listening and wide open for all responses-she was
brutally honest with the slamming, and the "i love u mom" |

What is SHE doing to stay clean?
Salvation Army?
AA/NA/CMA?
Has she called any hotlines for recovery?
Has she made any effort other than to tell you what you would
need to hear to make the effort for her?
I'm not trying to be harsh, I'm just trying to be realistic. I
know that you love your daughter and want so much to help her,
and have waited so long for the opportunity to help her.
Just remember, she has to help herself first and foremost.
Perhaps coming home IS the first step in helping herself. |

keeping all of the above in mind -she's in
lakewood-I'm not sure she even wants to come home -but at 1am
she was begging me for treatment, meeting with po at 10 am.
today keep me real on this laura!!! thanks also she has no phone
to call for treatment-she only 1st last night said she needed
and wanted it -but up until now she has not called or done
anything for herself for treatmen |

I betcha her PO would let her use the phone
to make some calls about recovery programs/meetings etc!
You know.. I bet there are even flyers out front with some help. |

her soon to be x boyfriend- po
told her he is recommending 2 years inpatient treatment because
she injects- she walked out bawling said she wants an atty to
fight this-guess my good phone call last night is done-also
upset i told po she's slamming-somehow i knew her wanting help
and treatment was too good to be true |

I'm sorry you are hurting =(.
If it's any consolation, it's likely not that she doesn't WANT
treatment, it's that she is locked by FEAR of actually going
into treatment.
She knows she is not able to function without meth.
She knows she can't use meth in treatment.
She's afraid of just exactly how completely horrible it will
feel to attempt to function, long term, without meth, because
she is, right now, unable to function without it. |

you are 100% correct, she just
called me, not coming home and said she has not used meth for 2
years (18 months) therefore she would not need 2 years of
treatment-i will keep praying and let my higher power hopefully
help her. po told her 2 yrs treatment-she thinks that's
insane-thanks for the quick responses lori-glad u are here for
all of us |

So she wanted treatment on HER
terms then.
I see.
I've yet to find treatment centers that advertise this method.
"Come get clean here without any rules from us because obviously
you already know how to get clean, stay clean, and live your
life well, because that's why you're seeking treat...er...
wait... umm.... never mind that...." |
