| KCI The Anti-Meth Site is an online fellowship of individuals who share their experiences, strengths, hopes and stories so they may help others: (1) recover from meth addiction or (2) who have lost a loved one addicted to meth. KCI The Anti-Meth Site is not allied with any sec, denomination, organization or institution; and does not wish to engage in any controversy; and has no opinion on any outside controversies or causes. Our primary goal is to educate about the dangers of METH and to promote the message that recovery is possible and happens daily. There are no dues or fees.
KCI The Anti-Meth Site, formerly the Koch Crime Institute, was organized and dedicated by Bill Koch on February 2, 1994 empowering the people of Kansas to understand the causes of crime. It was committed to research and policy analysis that identified and promoted meaningful strategies in crime reduction and prevention. It provided expertise and resources to increase public safety by forming partnerships with businesses, law enforcement agencies, civic organizations, and state agencies. Inquiries on the work of the organization were being received from other states and the conclusion was reached that the problems of crime in Kansas were similar to the problems of crime in our nation. Therefore, in 1998, the Koch Crime Commission evolved into a national organization named the Koch Crime Institute. In the growth process, Koch Crime Institute partner with a variety of organizations. One of those organizations, the Midwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), asked for support in promoting the dangers of methamphetamine in the spring of 1997. Information about methamphetamine was collected, organized, and posted on the Koch Crime Institute web site. As the problem of methamphetamine spread across America from state to state, so did the information on this web site. KCI The Anti-Meth Site Along our well-traveled road an ancillary point of pride developed -- millions of people and media sources have come to rely on KCI.org as a reference source of information about methamphetamines. A KCI staff member decided to maintain and rename the web site to, KCI The Anti-Meth Site as a resource site for methamphetamine issues. It was hoped this would continue to provided a valuable resource to the community at large. Many volunteers are maintaining this site at their own expense. KCI The Anti-Meth Site, with help from volunteers, has expanded the information on methamphetamine and created a more interactive and informative web site. Today, KCI The Anti-Meth Site has a highly active message board (400+ new postings daily) and a chat room where almost any hour of the day individuals can be found discussing the problems associated with meth and how meth has affected their life or a life of a loved one.
