Re: Why at meetings,

Yeah,
24 hours is recommended.
Seems ok to me.
At least that's the way it is in our CMA meetings.
NA has a similar reading.
I'm not sure about AA, I can't remember.
I've been in CMA meetings where tweakers come in and they are
spun out of their minds. They won't shut up and they don't make
sense. That's my observation.
What do you think about it? |

Re: Why at meetings,

Well
since you asked, I think it's funny how they think they can tell
a bunch of people that are doing it how to do it. If that makes
any sense. I think it is good for people who are actively using
to possibly seek advice about their addiction, but often times
they in a disillusioned state think that they can offer advice
and tell people how to stay clean.
I am in support of them asking questions and listening. It is my
opinion that they should refrain from offering advice. |

so
they won't go on a dope rant.
...no one takes high people seriously.
any emotion they have becomes invalid because they are high..."a
crying drunk" for example.
....they may interrupt if they think they can talk. |
