Sores on his arm
I met with my addict recently to talk about stuff. Besides looking skinny and very little coloring I noticed that on his one arm he had what looked like little sores and there were about six to eight of them and every one seemed to be somewhere on his veins in his arm. Does this sound like he is shooting? I have no idea. I have never know him when using to have sores he usually just looks colorless with bags and is really thin.

Re: Sores on his arm
It sounds like IV drug use, typically one arm takes the brunt of it, until the veins wear out, abscess and collapse. "Pickinpox" are also common on the arms as we incessantly work to pick off those pesky "speed bugs". [fornication]

Re: Sores on his arm
I didn't shoot up when I was using, but still got the sores, all over. I was usually snorting, and sometimes got a feeling like my veins in my nose were going to burst, or like there were bugs in there too. I'd try and poke them out, and trust me, having a busted up nasal cavity is no fun when you're snorting meth. It burned. Something to add to the gratitude list, glad I don't have to worry about that kind of pain or insanity anymore.... Peace and Love, Kelly

Re: Sores on his arm
My brother has similar trails that run along the veins on his arm and top of his hand and he's a shooter. Sorry to hear it. lily |

Re: Sores on his arm
could be shooting up or picking at the "meth mites"

Re: Sores on his arm
The addict in my life has a rash on his lower calves of his legs. Could that be meth related? When he's raging he says the rash is his wife's fault. That she has let some type of fungus get on him. How typical is that? |
